A poem explained

A poem explained is a poem lost;
Lost of the beauty it beholds within,
Lost of the experience that the reader
needed to absorb the words.

Lost of the personal perspective
to the reader.
Because the one who reads it
is better off understanding the poem
from what he has experienced in his life.

A poem explained becomes a group of words
given meaning through the lips of others.
Where a symbol
with infinitely many possibilities
is tied down to just one.

A poem explained is theft
Where the person who explains the poem
steals the opportunity of the reader
to explore the possibilities
To imagine the context
And to represent it in his own way.

A poem explained
is a poem lost.
A poem explained..
Ceases to be a poem.

Its nice to share what you think of what you read
